**If you miss the cutoff you will be directed to the finish. You may still complete the race, but will be disqualified in the results.
In order to complete the Olympic distance you need to be able to complete the swim in under 42 minutes (45 minutes for a mile), bike 15 mph average including the bridge, and run 13 minutes per mile. If you aren’t sure if you can do this, please register for the sprint distance instead as we have hard cutoffs to open the roadway back up.
We invite all athletes who have concerns with the cutoff times to register for the sprint distance that we offer, or if you wish let one of the staff know you would like to start with the first group.

Award times are an estimate. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early.
The Las Olas Triathlon will be a time trial start, but will be organized into groups of 20-30 people. Line up to start only when it is your group’s time to line up. This way we don’t have 1000 people trying to line up at the same time. When it is time for your group, the announcer will call you to get in line. Once you reach the front of the line, tell the person with the tablet your race number. Once that person says “Go”, run, then swim, like you stole something 🙂
If you miss your group, no problem, just go with the next one. Racers will be spaced 3 seconds apart.
*Starting Groups: You will receive a colored swim cap at packet pickup. Be at the correct start location for your distance at your race starting time. Line up to start individually when your cap color and category is called for your race distance. The cap color order will be available at packet pickup, but it only takes about 10 minutes to start all cap colors in each race distance. Do not start with the wrong race distance or you will be disqualified.
Triathlon & Aquabike – Start is north or south of the swim exit, depending on the direction of the current.
All Duathlon – Start on A1A between transition and the beach. Look for Duathlon flags.
